ชู

v. 1. to raise up high, to improve, to elevate, to lift, to crane, to cause to rise;

2. to uphold, to support, to sustain, to enhance (as a price), to boost, to brace, to stimulate.

ชูชีพ - a life preserver, a drug used to sustain or prolong life;

ชูรส - to cause to flavour to permeate; ชูหัว, ยกหัว - to raise the head (as a cobra).
